I ended up deciding that I’m gonna stick with learning Linux more for
now. I went to Barnes and Noble and picked up a new book. The book I
got was called “Linux Administration Handbook”. The book is about 1000
pages. My plan is to read about 30 pages a day. This is pretty hard tho
because I’m trying to do all the examples in the book. Right now it’s
been about a week and I’m on page 138.
I am also studying from 2 other books. One of the books is an old Unix
book. It has some great sections on Bash and VI that I am reading. The
other book is more of a study guide. It’s a study guide for the Linux+ Certification by Comptia. After finishing the “Linux Administration Handbook” I plan on taking the Comptia Linux+ Test. The test consists of I believe 80 questions, and are all multiple choice.
After taking the Linux+ test, I would like to take the RHCE exam. The RHCE exam is a certification to become a Redhat Certified Engineer. I already have a 1000 page book on the test with lots of hands on exercises. I also have a good amount of video I can watch on various linux subjects.
